Who Are We?
Anna Talbert, creative director
Hi, I’m Anna Talbert, and if it involves theatre, I’ve probably done it—performing lead roles, directing, creating costuming, and even wielding a makeup brush to turn actors into everything from elegant aristocrats to street urchins. I have a deep love for historically based plays and musicals (which makes perfect sense given my degree in Interpretative Speech and my history minor—I love a good costume drama).
When I’m not on stage or behind the scenes, you’ll find me baking, puzzling over puzzles, or sketching out my next historically accurate bustle gown. Because really, who doesn’t need a perfectly ruffled 1880s ensemble just in case?
Camryn Bauer, assistant direct & vocal coach
Hi there! I'm Camryn and I love learning and teaching about music. I am currently doing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Performance at Macewan University. I have been trained in voice lessons for six years with a focus in both classical singing and musical theatre singing. I have also been taking piano lessons for three years. I have a passion for acting, singing, and dance and I am excited to gain more experience teaching and conducting! It’s my goal to foster a safe learning environment where people feel comfortable to take risks and be themselves.
Tiana McLean, production & technical director
As graduate of Grant MacEwan University’sTheatre Productionprogram, Tiana has spent the last two decades working in Edmonton Theatre, where extreme weather, fire, illnesses, broken scenery, aggressive prop handling, and squirrels have taught her much about quick problem solving and remaining calm in a crisis. Past credits include working as Production Manager for the Freewill Shakespeare Festival, Head of Lighting and Carpentry for Theatre Network and Technical Director for Alberta Musical Theatre Company (formerly Alberta Opera). She is currently the Production Manager at the Varscona Theatre and loving it! She is very lucky to have an incredibly supportive family who pressured her into theatre so they could get free tickets.
Maya Jackson, choreographer
Hey, I’m Maya! I have been a dancer for over a decade, and am delighted to be working with such amazing people. I adore watching productions come to life through dance, and can’t wait to help be part of the magic. In the past, I have worked on musical productions such as E.S.B.C.H.S’s Grease, The Beaumont Songbirds Christmas Choir, and have plans to continue working on many other projects in the future. I can’t wait to share my passion for dance with others. Enjoy the show!
